Intro to the Blog
Hello!
Welcome to my blog. My name is Andrés León, I’m a spanish doctor, who recently finished my residency of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology in "Hospital Universitario de la Princesa" in Madrid, Spain.

Right now one of my primary focus is specializing in Foot and Ankle Surgery, I'm very glad to be doing what I like and learning a lot from my peers and mentors.
Why Create another blog?
For some time I had this nagging feeling that I would like to gather and collect every tip and trick that I have learned over time. Writing it gives me clarity about my knowledge and also I would love to share what I know with other surgeons in training.
My primary focus will be about foot and ankle surgery, but also from any other Ortho-Trauma topics that peaks my interest.
Why in English?
You might be wondering, why would I write a blog in english (being spanish my native tongue)? The reason is two fold:
Firstly, I believe that English should be the universal language for scientific comunication.
Secondly, I have seen a trend in Spanish surgeons in training, of looking up any info they need in the english literature rather than the spanish counterpart, moreover it gives me an excuse to practice my writing and English skills.
I have the intention to post at least weekly, I have planned a lot of different topics, ranging from concepts, theory and practical tips. I Hope that anyone that stumbles into this post has a great time and learns something new. I would like to read this post in the future and not be to ashamed of my rusty english.
